No pain No Gain. Is this statement true? Have you reached you limit? Did you grow up in a bad environment? Can the answers come from today’s media? I will touch on these topics and more.
I have good news for you. We can change. Now, your limiting beliefs are overruling your good beliefs, telling you unproductive thoughts. You can do anything you put your mind to. Your beliefs run your life. These are the rules that you live by. These can either help you succeed or hold you back from your goals.
In your mind, think of what is more prevalent, positive thoughts helping you succeed or negative thoughts that promote failure. Thoughts like, the boss doesn’t like me. I’ll never be qualified for a promotion. Did you know 60% of your thoughts are negative in nature. Many people don’t even realize they are thinking negatively. Most people won’t tell you that you are thinking negative thoughts. Sometimes it takes a brave soul to tell you to lighten up and stop being so negative. You may know someone who has taken that step in your life. Thank them the next time you see them.
You are what you think. If you think you are a nice person, you probably are. If you think your a hard person to get along with, you probably are. Once again you are right. You are in control of your beliefs. If your parents were Republican, that doesn’t mean you will share their views. Especially, the older you get in life. You have different experiences than you parents. Your beliefs change as your life experiences change.
Are you getting closer or farther away from where you want to be? If you are finding it more difficult to reach your goals, do a thought check up. For example, I am worthy of reaching my goal. I have the skills and abilities to attain my goals. Take out a sheet of paper and divide it into two. One side, write down your goal. The other side you will answer the following questions: I deserve to achieve my goal. Do I have the skills and abilities necessary to achieve this goal? It is possible to achieve my goal? Is my goal worthwhile? Is my goal desirable to me?
If you answer no to any of the previous questions, You may have limiting beliefs. Ask yourself why you answered no. Maybe your goal is no longer important to you. The decision has to be yours. It is not a valid excuse if someone else influences your decision. Your the one that has to live with your choices. By giving your self every opportunity possible to succeed you will be surprised at what you can accomplish.
